FILAU Fibres internet Laurentides was created in 2006, thanks to the support of committed internet users. The main weavers are people who are passionate about technology. Today, Filau stands out for its desire to continue to provide greater high-speed accessibility to its entire community.
Internet users, who volunteer for FILAU, sit on the organization’s board of directors. Some members of the Board of Directors work in the entrepreneurial field, others in marketing. Elected municipal officials also sit at the board table.
FILAU serves nearly 1500 customers in the residential areas of the municipalities of Amherst, Arundel, Barkmere, Brébeuf, Huberdeau, Labelle, Lac-Supérieur, Lantier, Montcalm, Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré, Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides and Val-David.
The organization has greatly expanded its network over the years. Since then, he has focused on upgrading equipment on the territory to meet the expectations of his customers by offering an increase in bandwidth throughput.
